Flying coffee beans!
This is a story about my first moments this morning. But you need to know a little bit about my coffee grinder to understand. I have a grinder that turns on by putting the lid on it and pushing a button on the lid. So now the story. I put the beans in the grinder, plugged it in the wall, and before I had the lid on the it, it started grinding. Beans flew in my face and to every corner of the kitchen. I unplugged it quickly but not before there was a complete mess on the floor and counter tops and table. It was VERY surprising.
I think I even got ground coffee beans in my eyelashes!

What? I can't take photos from a public street?
I was thinking as I was on my walk yesterday that it is odd that I find industrial structures to have so much beauty given that I really think I am most inspired by nature. Yesterday I was walking through an industrial area which has a port and big trucks coming and going. There are huge oil storage structures which are very white and have those ladders that curl up the side. I was walking on a public street and two men told me I couldn't take photos, and if I did I would be reported to Port Authorities!! There were no signs that said anything about NO PHOTOS.
I said go ahead and report me because I always want people to look at my portfolio, and I smiled. Then the younger of the 2 men said, yes maybe you can make a sale. Then the older tough guy quashed the young guys comment with a scowl. It was strange. I said, so even if I am on a public right of way, you can tell me to stop and I have to obey you? My reaction was to be charming because I felt odd and I didn't want trouble. I was just walking. My photos didnt look good yesterday. I think I was a bit wonky after that.
